Scorching the Garden 2021
Part 2
March
We are celebrating our 3rd documented grow. Not much is going to change, but there is still a ton to learn. Let’s see if we can learn a few pounds.
For the past year, we have been working on the building. We were hoping to be open this month, and long story short, we aren’t. We were expecting the contractor to have started by now, despite the delays, and they haven’t. Either way, it cant be long now.
We picked up a few final pieces of equipment from a discount outlet and got some absolutely amazing deals. It’s a bit of a drive, but the selection is totally worth it. I saw some pieces that i hadn’t seen in 30 years.
Shown here is a heavy duty induction burner, stainless steel stockpot, cone filter, a blender, and alluminum messuring pitcher.
The nursery is nearly completely filled with peppers and herbs and a cat. This is not one of the cats that guards our gardens. She is not supposed to be in there and is a bad kitty.
Anyway, we have all of the plants we’ll be planting this year and then some. This was the fastest and easiest start of the seaon we have ever had. Our next update will have more about the kitchen and an update on how the gardens did over winter.
